Pedro Torres to Return to the 2024 Lusitano Conference
The United States Lusitano Association is excited to welcome back Pedro Torres to the 2024 USLA Lusitano Conference. Renowned for his achievements in Working Equitation, Pedro has become a pivotal figure in this equestrian discipline, particularly celebrated for his partnership with the famous Lusitano stallion, Oxidado.
Pedro, who began his illustrious career in Portugal, has been deeply influenced by the rich equestrian traditions of the region. His competitive success is marked by multiple world championships in Working Equitation, showcasing his skills in dressage, ease of handling, speed, and cattle tasks. Known for his harmonious training methods, he emphasizes the importance of a deep, understanding relationship between horse and rider, a philosophy that guides both his teaching and competitive strategies.
During this year’s conference, Pedro will conduct another Master Class in Working Equitation, aiming to educate and inspire participants by demonstrating advanced training techniques and the exceptional capabilities of Lusitano horses. This follows his previous master class at our inaugural conference last year, which was a significant highlight. Additionally, the conference will feature a Working Equitation Invitational for Lusitanos, offering attendees a practical view of how Pedro’s teachings can be applied in a competitive setting.
