A Week of Equine Excellence
The USLA Lusitano Conference will kick off early in the week, starting on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, and will feature a variety of educational sessions, master classes, and competitions designed to showcase the best of Lusitano breeding and training. Key events include:
- USLA Symposium: A full day of top equine education from industry experts. (Note: Symposium Venue to be confirmed.)
- Rafael Soto Master Classes: Dressage and in-hand work sessions led by the exceptional Olympian.
- Pedro Torres Master Classes: Learn from the world-renowned working equitation expert in sessions on Friday and Saturday mornings.
- USLA Rising Stars Model & Movements Challenge: A prestigious competition highlighting the conformation and movement of Lusitano horses.
The Iberian Horse Showcase
As the week progresses, the Iberian Horse Showcase will bring even more excitement to Ocala. This event will feature a range of activities and competitions related to Iberian horses, including:
- Iberian Cup Dressage Competition: USEF/USDF competition celebrating the elegance and athleticism of Iberian horses in dressage.
- Fiesta Ocala PRE Competition: An ANCCE-rated PRE Morphology Competition, highlighting the best Pure Spanish Horses.
- Iberian Showcase Gala Dinner: An elegant evening celebrating the rich culture and history of the Iberian horse.
- Iberian Showcase Performances: Spectacular evening performances and exhibitions.
- Ibericon: A vibrant equestrian trade show and shopping extravaganza, offering a variety of vendors, free horsemanship demonstrations, workshops, and engaging lectures. Ibericon runs from October 17-20, providing a gathering place to shop, eat, and enjoy various forms of entertainment and education centered around the Iberian horse.
