Earning Recommended Reproducer (★★★★) Status
Recommended Reproducer (★★★★) status recognizes the individual merit of a Lusitano, evaluated through morphology, movement, or sport performance under APSL Studbook Rules. This designation is available to mares and stallions, awarded by APSL, and recorded permanently in the Lusitano Studbook.
Pathways to Recommended Status
1. Model & Movements (Morphology & Gaits)
Model & Movements evaluates conformation, correctness, quality of movement, and breed type. Horses may earn Recommended status through the earning of qualifying Gold and/or Silver medals in APSL-recognized Model & Movements competitions (as defined in the APSL Studbook Rules and applicable event requirements). USLA-organized M&M competitions are designed to align with APSL standards and support proper documentation for submission.
