USLA Conducts it’s First Breed Inspection in the US

The US Lusitano Association is deligted to announce that we have successfully completed our first inspections for Lusitano breeding stock in the United States.
We were delighted to welcome the esteemed Secretary General of APSL, João Ralão for the grading of mares and stallions. During the trip, Mr. Ralão visited 13 separate locations in the US, during which time 59 Lusitano horses (44 mares and 15 stallions) were graded. He visited two locations in Massachusetts, three locations in Florida, three locations in Texas, two locations in California, as well as breeders in Utah, Washington, and Illinois. We now plan to schedule an annual fall revision for the United States.
Because of Covid regulations, planning for this trip was very difficult: We only learned that we had received an exemption for the judge to enter the United States five days prior to his visit, making planning quite difficult.
A revision trip to breeders in Canada is now planned for mid to late-May, 2022.
