On occasion the name you have for your horse’s sire or dam may not be exactly the same as it is listed in
the public studbook. Sometimes if the name is too long, only part of the name will be listed. If this is the
case, it is best to look up by the NIN. Alternatively, if you know the sire’s sire(grandsire) or dam(granddam), or the dam’s sire(grandsire) or dam(granddam), their offspring
(descendants) will be listed under the pedigree and you can click on the NIN number next to the name
to view their pedigree. If no descendants are listed or your horse’s sire or dam is not listed as a
descendant, then it is likely they are not registered with the APSL. If you are having trouble finding this
